Nature in its purest form, relaxation in its truest sense

Spanning over 330,000 square meters, Beartree Park is a rare sanctuary in Korea where a wildlife park and an arboretum coexist. It is home to over a hundred Asiatic black bears and brown bears, peacocks, and deer, all thriving alongside a lush collection of 400,000 flowers and trees across 1,000 different species.

Originally a "secret garden" meticulously nurtured by founder Lee Jae-yeon during his weekend retreats, the park officially opened its gates on May 11, 2009. Over the past half-century, small juniper saplings brought from rural village walls have grown into majestic giants, and a few pairs of moon bears (Asian black bears) have flourished into a vibrant colony of over a hundred.

As the trees grew sturdier and the seasons painted the forest in new colors, the park evolved. Through the harmony of time, the power of nature, and unwavering human devotion, Bear Tree Park has transformed into the breathtaking arboretum it is today. Our majestic junipers, centuries-old zelkovas, and elegant pines stand as living testaments to this history and care.

Complete with a restaurant, cafe, gift shop, and various cultural events, we invite you to experience the essence of true relaxation amidst the beauty of nature at Beartree Park.
